About Early Childhood

The role of the Tzu Chi Early Childhood program is to develop students’ intrinsic motivation to learn and be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and productive members of a dynamic global society in a conducive environment and community.

The school promotes holistic education and strives to instill good character and inculcate strong values, such as gratitude, respect, and love. In addition, we give our best efforts to develop the life skills necessary for successful learning and preparation for the future.

Our curriculum adapts the national curriculum alongside humanistic culture education (Ren Wen program) and Pearson Program. We are confident that our students will be equipped with a solid foundation to be competent citizens.

We have passionate and dedicated local and expatriate teachers who provide opportunities for each student to learn and explore. We are committed to providing excellent education, collaboration with stakeholders, and continuous improvement of the educational process.

We are proud of the growth and development of our school, and we look forward to welcoming you to our community.

Curriculum

Tzu Chi School's early childhood program caters to children ages 2 – 6 from Nursery 1 to Kindergarten 2.

Our Kindergarten is SPK (Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama) School. We follow the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) and the Merdeka Teaching Platform (Merdeka Belajar) with the integration of Humanistic Education (Ren Wen) as our core value and Pearson framework. We believe every child is unique; Therefore, holistic learning and a focus on children’s competence are the keys to optimal development.

The Independent Curriculum is a vital learning transformation, not only in dealing with post-pandemic education but also in dealing with the world situation that continues to change according to the times.

We include literacy and STEAM activities encouraging children to explore and discover different materials in different environments. They learn to think critically, be creative, determine their needs, find solutions and express themselves.

Another essential part of our curriculum is building the children's character and developing good values. They learn to speak good words, think good thoughts, and do good deeds. Even adults can learn from children as these values are taught at an early age. It is a beautiful feeling to see them filial to their parents, having the initiative to help and even remind others.

Children can reinforce and practice what they have learned through the Pearson resources and activities. It ensures that children are prepared with the necessary skills to adapt and engage in the world.
